Late Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee:
Following the tree planting in the Village Hall Gardens in November, we have since erected a plaque to commemorate the event.
Our AGM on the 22nd February was well attended. Sadly after many years on the Committee Michael Warner and Geoff Lindsey-Smith decided to step down. Michael and Geoff will be missed for their many years of commitment to the Club.
Service to celebrate the life of Noeline Sloggie:
14th March. Lavenham Church.
Several members of the Gardening Club attended the Service. Noeline gave many years of service to the Gardening Club, and was always willing to help out at monthly meetings and events. Noeline was born in the Faulkland Islands, and throughout her early years travelled widely before settling down in Lavenham. Noeline spent the last few years of her life in Gorleston where some of her family lived.
Our next meeting on the 29th March. We are looking forward to welcoming Leanna Monica, a local florist. Leanna will be demonstrating how to make a Spring Wreath. (Which will be a raffle prize on the evening).
Ousden House.:
Our first outing in 2023 will be on the 5th April to Ousden House to enjoy their Spring Gardens. The coach will leave the Village Hall Car park around 1.15pm. Cost £25 to include coach, entrance and afternoon tea. Non members welcome. Cost £25.
